Heritage of Belgaum is a voluntary initiative documenting and archiving various layers of Belgaum's history;
one story at a time.
Our Story
Heritage of Belgaum began as an initiative of five friends who were devastated with the loss of some prominent heritage buildings that were a part of their childhood memories. The buildings they once saw and associated with in their younger days were fast disappearing. They felt the need to have them preserved; if not in their original form but through photographs and stories that have shaped today’s Belgaum.
Our Mission
We aim to create a repository of stories that are embedded in Belgaum's heritage; be it old buildings, natural landscapes, culinary traditions, unique festivals and bring awareness and stewardship around its protection and preservation.
